Private tutor in Johnson City, TN

Education

I attended high school in Cookeville, TN at Cookeville High School and graduated in 2011 with an unweighted GPA of 5.14. I also attended and graduated from Princeton University in the Class of 2015. While I was there, I majored in Chemistry and obtained a minor in Materials Science and Engineering. Currently, I am at the Quillen College of Medicine with an expected graduation date of 2022.

Experience

I have been tutoring ever since my freshmen year in high school. I tutored all levels of math up until Calculus AB until I graduated. Once at Princeton University, I worked for a company called Princeton Tutoring and tutored math (up to Calculus AB), Spanish, and Chemistry. Additionally, I did volunteer tutoring at the New Jersey Department of Corrections through an initiative called the Petey Greene Prisoners Assistance Program in which we tutored inmates who were seeking to gain their GEDs. Also, I tutored Enlgish as a second language in Korea during the summer of my sophomore year. Lastly, I tutored for a program called SVC TEACH in which tutors would teach people who had just left prison and were seeking help to earn GEDs. Throughout my life, I was blessed enough to have my parents, pastor, and youth leaders as guides in every aspect of my life. If it wasn't for them, I would not be where I am today. Consequently, I love taking opportunities to invest time into the success of others, just as my mentors invested in me. I believe that every student has the potential to succeed in not only academics but every other realm of his or her life, and I aim to help students reach that full potential.
